Magrath Public Library - Summer Reading Program Coordinator/Library Clerk
We are looking for an enthusiastic and organized individual to work with us as a Summer Reading Program Coordinator/Library Clerk. The successful applicant will be responsible for planning, organizing, and running activities and events designed to engage children in reading throughout the summer, along with performing general library duties. Position is for up to 11 weeks (275 hours) Start date to be determined.
Responsibilities:
- Plan and implement a schedule of summer reading activities and events for children.
- Track and report on program participation and outcomes.
- Interact with and assist patrons.
- Perform other library duties as assigned.
Qualifications:
- Strong organizational and communication skills.
- Experience working with children is preferred.
- Creative and enthusiastic approach to promoting reading and literacy.
- Comfortable with computers and technology.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Available to work flexible hours, including some evenings and weekends.
Hourly Wage: Starting at $13.00/hr for applicants under 18 years old or $15.00/hr for applicants 18 years and older.
